
Andrée Simard received her B.Mus. in performance from McGill University. She also holds a Diploma in Advanced Music Performance Studies (Concordia University) and a Master of Music in performance and music history from The University of Akron (Ohio) where she served as the violist in the Marini String Quartet and as a viola/violin instructor. Her teachers include Douglas McNabney, Philippe Djokic, Claude Richard, and Alan Bodman.
Presently, Andrée is an active freelancer in the Southern Ontario region. In addition to performing with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, the Niagara Symphony, and the Windsor Symphony as an extra, she is a member of the Thorold String Quartet and Trio Arabesque. Andrée is also active as a viola/violin teacher with Suzuki Niagara and privately.
