Gail Poulsen


Gail Poulsen has a BA, and an ARCT in violin performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she studied with Katharine Rapoport. Gail is a member of The Niagara Symphony and a violin instructor at Ridley College.

Gail has performed as guest soloist with Impulse Choir, The Brock University Choir, Young Singers of Niagara, Barley Brae, and The Niagara Symphony, among others. She has been featured on many CD recordings, including Simple Gifts (2006), with harpist Karen Smith and bohdran/bass player Anne Adams.

Gail has produced a number of compositions. In 2011, the song Open Arms was arranged by Laura Thomas for violin soloist Gail, along with The Niagara Symphony. Her songs have been sung by the talented musicians at Jubilee Fellowship, The Young Singers of Niagara, and (April 2012) Avanti Chamber Singers.
